New Mixed Media Works by Judy Vienneau
Exhibition and Reception at St. Pete ArtWorks
Judy Vienneau has studied traditional sculptural techniques, producing wire and mixed media sculpture for the last twenty-five years. Her new series may come as a surprise to those familiar with Judy’s wire animal and celebrity portraits. The exhibition is a study in color and its unexpected use in traditional and non-traditional scenes and collages. Wire sculpture still plays a major role. However, the paintings are intended to provide a colorful geometric backdrop to the sculptural wire forms.
Judy Vienneau is a seasoned professional artist with a BFA in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston, MA. She has worked in commercial Graphic Design and Advertising, been an art educator for both youth and adults, and has exhibited in galleries and juried exhibitions throughout Florida and the Northeast. Judy is the founder and director of the Gulf Coast Artists’ Alliance, Inc.
Visit Judy at a reception in her honor on August 18, featuring refreshments and an open music jam with Carole Shelton. Bring your instrument, sing and play on the sidewalk out front. The exhibition, Unexpected Color" is on view at St. Pete ArtWorks August 14 through September 9.
